• Function #9, green LED flashes 1x long, 4x short: Timing
Generally, higher values for timing increase the engine speed. Torque, however, decreases and power consumption
increases (lower driving time, engine and controller may overheat). The manufacturer has already chosen the best
settings for the engine built into the vehicle. It should only be changed by experienced model sportsmen.
Settable values are 0.00, 3.75, 7.50, 11.25, 15.00, 18.75, 22.50 and 26.25.
• Function #10, green LED flashes 2x long: Motor type selection
This option is factory set to "Brushless-Motor" and cannot be adjusted.
• Function #11, green LED flashes 2x long, 1x short: Overheating protection
The overheating protection of the speed controller unit activates if a temperature of +95°C is measured for longer
than 5 seconds. In this case the motor is switched off and the green LED flashes.
For safety reasons, we recommend that you always activate the overheating protection.
When it is switched off, the speed controller unit can be destroyed by overheating, and your guarantee will
be void!

c) Resetting the Speed Controller

In order to reset all settings of the speed controller back to the default settings (see chapter 10. b) proceed as follows.
• Switch on the speed controller.
• Keep the set-up button pressed longer (at least 3 seconds), both LEDs flash slowly.
• All settings are reset to the factory settings.
• If necessary, turn the speed controller off and on again.
• Programme the speed controller as described in chapters 10 a) and 10 b).
