d) Inserting the Drive Battery in the Vehicle

Attention!
The drive battery must not be connected to the speed controller yet. First switch on the transmitter, see
chapter 8. c).
Important!
This vehicle is only suitable for use with NiMH drive batteries with 6 cells (rated voltage 7.2 V).
When using a drive battery with more cells, there is a danger of fire from overheating of the speed controller.
Apart from this, the vehicle's drive will be overloaded and damaged by this (e.g. differential). Loss of
guarantee/warranty!
Open the two hook and loop tapes of the battery holder and place the drive battery in the battery holders.
We recommend that the drive battery be inserted so that its connection cables point towards the rear axle. This
prevents the connection cables from impairing the steering mechanics.
Fasten the drive battery with the two hook and loop tapes.

e) Connecting the Drive Battery to the Speed Controller

Check that the speed controller is switched off (switch position "OFF").
The switch is glued to the top of the steering servo; see arrow in the
image on the right.
If you didn't do so before, switch on the transmitter, see chapters 8. c).
To prevent sudden start-up of the wheels and therefore uncontrolled starting of the model (e.g. if the
trimming for the drive is maladjusted), place the model vehicle on a suitable support (or starting box), so
that the wheels can turn freely.
Never reach into the drive, and do not stop the wheels with your hand; danger of injury!
Connect the drive battery to the speed controller. Ensure correct polarity (red cable = plus/+, black cable = minus/-).
