Problems and Solutions

Problem
You are informed: "No
adapter found"
LINK LED (light
green) does not light.

ACTIVITY LED (yel-
low) does not light.

Data is corrupted or
sporadic at 100 Mbps.
Diagnostics are OK, but
the network connection
fails.

Make sure there is an Ethernet MCA Adapter in the
computer.
Make sure the adapter is seated firmly in the slot.
Make sure you have loaded the network drivers.
Check all connections at the adapter and the hub.
Try another port on the hub.
Make sure that the hub and adapter ports are config-
ured for the correct speed, 10 or 100 Mbps.
If the adapter is connected to a switch, check that the
adapter duplex setting is correct.
Make sure you have loaded the network drivers.

ent.
