for air flow. To ensure that the mounting is secure, use two to four M6 mounting screws for each side of
the shelf assembly. A shelf assembly should be mounted at the bottom of the rack if it is the only unit in
the rack.
Verify that the proper fuse and alarm panel has been installed in the top mounting space. If a fuse and

alarm panel is not present, you must install one according to manufacturer instructions:
(ETSI only) Verify that the fuse rating does not exceed 40A.
The fuse rating for ANSI chassis must not exceed 30A.
Ensure that the shelf assembly is set for the desired rack size (either 23 inches [584.2 mm] or 19 inches

Using the hex tool that shipped with the assembly, install the two temporary set screws into the holes

that will not be used to mount the shelf. Let the set screws protrude sufficiently to hold the mounting
brackets.
Lift the shelf assembly to the desired position in the rack and set it on the screws.

Align the screw holes on the mounting brackets with the mounting holes in the rack.

Using the Phillips Dynamometric screwdriver, install one mounting screw in each side of the assembly.
Step 7
When the shelf assembly is secured to the rack, install the remaining mounting screws.
