Disassembly

Observe before disassembly
NOTICE
Risk of damage to the device
For routine cleaning, there is no need to disassemble the phototherapy light or to
separate the phototherapy light from the optional spring arm or trolley.
► If the phototherapy light was separated from the optional spring arm or trolley, be
sure to clean the quick-connect joint. Then assemble the device as described in
chapter "Assembly and preparation" on page 31.
1 Switch off the device and all devices connected to it.
2 Disconnect the power plugs.
3 Allow the phototherapy light to cool before beginning reprocessing procedures.

Information on reprocessing

Instructions for reprocessing are based on internationally accepted guidelines, e.g.,
standard ISO 17664.

WARNING
Risk due to inappropriately reprocessed products
Reusable products must be reprocessed, otherwise there is an increased risk of
infection.
► Observe the hygiene regulations and reprocessing regulations of the healthcare
facility.
► Observe national hygiene regulations and reprocessing regulations.
► Use validated procedures for reprocessing.
► Reprocess reusable products before initial use and between patients.
► Observe the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning agents, disinfectants, and
reprocessing devices.
WARNING
Risk of infection
Users and service personnel can become infected with pathogens.
► Disinfect and clean device or components before any maintenance measures
and also before returning the medical device for repair.
