Monitoring phase connection

POM4220
The two line voltage connections are monitored as to whether or not a phase is connected.
If one phase is not connected, an error message is generated (see section Fault reporting
through diagnostics data (Page 180)) and heating stops for this phase. The other phase can
still be operated.
POM4220 Highend (for connection between phase and phase and economy circuit) / POM4320
The line voltage connection is monitored as to whether or not all phases are connected. If at
least one phase is missing, an error message is generated (see Fault reporting through
diagnostics data (Page 180)) and heating stops.
9.7.2

Rotating field check

POM4220 Highend
For POM4220 Highend a rotating field check is performed for "economy circuit" type of
connection. The POM requires a clockwise rotating field. Otherwise an error message is
generated. In case of an incorrect rotating field, no output switch-on occurs. See Figure 6-8
Power outputs POM4220 Highend - Economy circuit (Page 92).
POM4320
The rotating field is tested for connecting the phase voltages of each POM. The POM
requires a clockwise rotating field. Otherwise an error message is generated.
Note
The heating system can also operate with a counter-clockwise rotating field. However, it is
not possible to diagnose a defective heating element at a channel setpoint of 100%.
