Scanner Motor (M5) is securely fastened using the
dedicated fixing screws.

Scanner Motor (M5) drive mechanism is dirty or
damaged.

Scanner drive mechanism pulley is dirty with for-
eign matter, scratchy, deformed, worn, or dam-
aged.

Scanner Drive Cables are wound incorrectly.

Scanner rails and bushings are dirty with foreign
matter, scratchy, deformed, worn, or damaged.

Scanner moves smoothly.
<Check Procedure>
Gently move the Scanner by hand to check for
smooth operation.

CCD Board (PWB-J) connector is loose.

Control Board (PWB-C/C) connector is loose.
