(for lock release) may be assembled using the coupling piece and coupling connections provided.

Because of the range of demands individuals place on orthoses, variations from a standard re-
inforcement layup may be required.

3 Instructions for fabrication
3.1 Inserting the lamination aid
Disassemble the locking levers and insert the lamination aid (fig. 2). Screw the joint to the ad-
justment adapter, size 3 (fig. 3) (See alignment tool for orthotic joints 743R6). The lamination aid
keeps the two joints fixed in an extended position and protects the inside of the joint against resin
build-up. In addition, 636K6 Plastilin is to be added to protect the bearing nut hole, screw heads
and spring channel.
3.2 System lamination joint bars
The 17B97 Set includes four stainless steel 17Y128 System lamination joint bars for the system
knee joints.
