Each I/O module in the Symantec Storage Shelf contains three network ports.

RJ11 serial
SAS IN
SAS OUT
Details
Connect the DB9 end of the serial data cable to a serial port on your
Windows PC or management device.
Connect the RAID connector one end of the SAS cable to the SAS
IN port on the storage shelf. Connect the other end of the cable to a
RAID connector on the rear panel of the NetBackup 5220.
The SAS OUT port is not functional at this time.
