DDNS

DDNS setup interface is shown as in Figure 4.21 .
Please note DDNS type includes: CPPlus DDNS, Dyndns and NO-IP DDNS. All the DDNS can be valid
at the same time, you can select as you requirement.
CPPlus DDNS and Client-end Introduction
➢ Background Introduction
Device IP is not fixed if you use ADSL to login the network. The DDNS function allows you to access
the DVR (WITHOUT HDD) via the registered domain name. Besides the general DDNS, the CPPlus
DDNS works with the device from the manufacturer so that it can add the extension function.
➢ Function Introduction
The CPPlus DDNS has the same function as other DDNS client end. It realizes the bonding of the
domain name and the IP address. Right now, current DDNS server is for our own devices only. It
automatically refreshes the bonding relationship of the domain and the IP regularly.
➢ Operation
Select CPPlus DDNS and click on check box to enable DDNS service.
User can input self-defined domain name in Domain name field.
Click on Apply button, device will check the availability of defined domain name on DDNS
server. If same Domain name already registered on server then it will prompt message
neither it will register domain name on server.
After successfully created Domain Name, click on OK button to save settings.
Important - Do not register frequently. The interval between two registrations shall be more than
60 seconds. Too many registration requests may result in server attack.
