The system must be checked once every month by the operator through observation of the switching routine for operatio-
nal ability and leaks.

8.1 General malfunctions

Check all screw connections for air-tightness
Check whether there is a short-term increase in
wastewater occurrence; if possible do not use
drainage points temporarily or divert wastewa-
ter elsewhere if possible
• Eliminate object in the impeller or housing
area
• Remove the object from the pressure fitting or
pressure pipe
• Pumps are worn, have them replaced
• Wrong lifting station design, clarification
through KESSEL Customer Services
Put aeration device into operating position
Check direction of rotation, if incorrect swap
2 phases of the supply cable
Swap 2 phases in the supply cable of the
switch unit
Check pump(s) and motor(s); have damaged
parts replaced by Customer Services
