Perform the procedures in the following order to replace media drives:

Removing the media drive carrier from the chassis

When replacing the media hard drives, the first step is to remove the media drive carrier from
the media drive bay.

Requirements

To remove the media drive carrier from the media drive bay, you require the following:
• keys for the front bezel doors
• a Phillips screwdriver
• cable identification labels
• a pen or pencil

Locate the media drives

The media drives (CD-ROM drive, tape drive, and floppy drive) are shown in the bottom right
corner shown in
