Appendix C: Connectors, Adapters,
This appendix provides a detailed
description of al modem
connectors, including pin
assignments. It also includes a
description of the modem jumper
functions and a diagram that shows
you where to find the jumpers.
C.1 Connectors and Adapters
The modem includes the following
connectors (labeled on the rear
panel as indicated below):
• DTE—25-pin (DB25) RS-232/D
female cable connector, for
connection to DTE (computer
or terminal)
• DIAG—RJ-45 modular jack
(diagnostic connector), for
diagnostic port control
(optional)
• POWER—Five-pin DIN
connector for AC power
• TX DIAL—RJ-45 modular jack
for connection to a dial line
• RX DIAL—(Ignore "RX DIAL"
label.) RJ-45 modular jack for
alternate leased line
connection (when an 8-pin
connector is required)
