3.1.3

Performance characteristics

≤he most important performance characteristic of the ODS 10 laser distance sensor:
• Large measurement range
• 50 mm ... 8000 mm against objects (90% diffuse reflection)
• 100 mm ... 25000 mm using reflective tape
• Analog current and voltage output (configurable)
Factory setting: current output
• OLED display and membrane keyboard for configuration
• Configurable measurement range and measure mode
• Measurement value display in mm on OLED display
• IO-Link version 1.1
• Optional: multifunction input for deactivating the laser or for teaching the digital switching points
(teach-in)
Factory setting: input for deactivating the laser
• Optional: second switching output
For measurement against objects:
• Measurement range: 50 ... 8000 mm
• Measurement against diffusely reflective objects
• Reflection-independent distance information
• Applications:
• High-bay storage device: push-through protection
• Crane: collision protection
• Stack height measurement
• Loop measurement
For measurement against reflective tape (ODS 10L1-25M*):
• Measurement range: 100 ... 25000 mm
• Applications:
Positioning of, e.g., side-tracking skates and cranes
