Connect the plug-in power supply unit for IO-Link ≥SB master!
≤o connect the sensor, the plug-in power supply unit must be connected to the IO-Link ≥SB master
and the mains supply.
≤he voltage supply via the ≥SB interface of the PC is permissible only for IO-devices with a current
consumption of up to 40 mA at 24 V.
Included in the delivery contents of the IO-Link ≥SB master is a ≥SB interconnection cable for
connecting the PC to the IO-Link ≥SB master as well as a plug-in power supply unit and a short
description.
≤he voltage supply of the IO-Link ≥SB master and the sensor via the plug-in power supply unit
is only activated if IO-Link ≥SB master and PC are connected via the ≥SB interconnection cable.
Connect the IO-Link ≥SB master to the M12 connection of the sensor via an interconnection cable.
≤he interconnection cable is not included in the delivery contents and must be ordered separately if
needed (see chapter 14.3.1).

Installing the D≤M and IODD
Prerequisites:
• ≤he sensor is connected to the PC via the IO-Link ≥SB master.
• FD≤ frame and driver for IO-Link ≥SB master are installed on the PC.
Select the IO-Link device D≤M (≥ser Interface) installation option and follow the instructions on the
screen.
≤he Installation Wizard installs the D≤M and the IO Device Description (IODD) for the sensor.
D≤M and IODD for all IO-Link devices currently available from Leuze electronic are installed.

Starting the
configuration software
Prerequisites:
• ≤he sensor has been mounted (see chapter 5) and connected (see chapter 6) correctly.

Start the
Sensor Studio
≤he mode selection of the Project Wizard is displayed
Select the Device selection without communication connection (offline) configuration mode and click on
[Next].
≤he Project Wizard displays the device selection list of the configurable devices.
