Other Precautionary and Preventive Measures
To ensure top performance from both your SLM804 Laser Printer and
your entire ST Computer system , follow these additional guidel ines:
• Always have your printer securely placed on a firm, level surface.
• Avoid dusty or greasy work areas.
• Keep all components away from extreme heat or moisture.
• Keep all components out of direct sunlight.
• Do not move the components unnecessarily.
• Do not switch off the printer while it is printing. Whenever you
do switch off the printer, wait at least ten seconds before you
switch it on again.
• Always switch off your system before cleaning it. Clean the out-
side of the components with a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth
only. Do not use cleansers, abrasives, or solvents.
• To ship or store your printer, repack it in the original factory
packing materials.
