2. Examine the inside of the paper
cassette.
The raised markings
LTR, LGL, and A4 on the bottom of the tray stand for letter-size
paper (8V2 x 11 inches), legal-size paper (8V2 x 14 inches), and
A4 paper (8.3 x 11.7 inches), respectively. Locate the cassette
paper partitioner at the back of the tray. Move the paper parti-
tioner to the paper size (letter, legal, or A4) you'll be
using.
Insert the paper partitioner's positioning tab in the appropriate
slot, making sure that the partitioner's ends slide between the
guides at that position on the inside of the cassette side walls.
Note: You may have noticed the raised 85 marking, like LTR, LGL,
and A4, on the bottom of the paper tray. Like A4, this designation is
an international paper standard not commonly used in the United
States. 85 paper is 7.2 x 10.1 inches (182 x 257mm). You cannot use
A4 or 85 paper with your letter/legal cassette.
