Transporting the Printer
Moving the printer from one side of the room to another requires
no extraordinary measures. You need only keep the printer level
and avoid jolting the unit as you move it.
Transporting the printer longer distances does, however, require
that you take some important safety measures. Most important is
that you make sure the toner cartridge is locked in place to prevent
toner spillage inside the printer. Also check to see if the residual-
toner container is full;
if
so, remove and dispose of the container
before transporting the printer.
Warning: The toner is electrically
conductive.
Never dispose of the
toner
near electrical equipment.
Whenever
transporting or storing your printer, always remember to
pack the
unit
in
its original packing materials. The carton and foam
packing
are specially designed to prevent damage to the printer
during
shipping.
