On the external right side of the letter/legal cassette, toward the
rear, there is a small sliding tab. Move it to the left for legal-size
paper; move it to the right for letter-size paper. The sliding tab
is factory set to the right (letter-size paper).

Note:
If you have an A4 cassette, then you need not set this
tab.

Reinsert the paper cassette in the printer, gently pushing it
straight in.
Manual Feed
You can also manually feed paper through the
printer.
Envelopes
and labels, for instance, MUST be manually fed
.
Keep in mind that
the printer's manual feed feature is software-dependent. You must
set up the software that drives your printer for manual feed if you
want to feed individual sheets of paper through the
printer.
Refer
to your software manual for
details.
To feed a single sheet through the printer, follow these steps:
1. Remove the paper cassette. The Add Paper indicator on the
control panel should light
up.
