Cleaning the Drum/Paper Separator
You should clean the drum/paper separator every time you replace
the toner or whenever you notice excess toner building up on the
separator. The drum/paper separator is a thin, clear plastic band
located on the left underside of the
dr.

from the drum after the toner is applied. To clean the drum/paper
separator, follow these steps:
1. Open the top cover without releasing the drum and toner hopper.
2. Gently run the cotton swab you received with the toner kit under
and over the separator. Be careful not to break the band while
cleaning it.

Cleaning the Fuser Roller
You should clean the fuser roller every time you replace the toner.
The fuser roller fuses the toner onto the
paper.
To clean the fuser roller, follow these steps:
Warning:
The fuser and the surrounding felt-covered surfaces
inside the printer get extremely hot whenever power to the printer
is switched on
.
Wait at least two hours after switching off the
printer before you perform any procedure near these
surfaces.
