5. Now that the controller's internal components are exposed, find
the small switch box at the front (outside of the metallic shield)
and just left of center on the controller's printed circuit board
(PCB). The DIP switches are housed in
this
small switch box. The
switch box should be plainly visible.

Address Numbers
6. The switch box contains three tabs; these are the DIP switches. A
DIP switch has two possible states: off and on. All switches are
initially set to the OFF position. To turn a switch on, move the tab
to the ON position using the tip of a ballpoint pen.
7. The numbers "4 2 1" are printed on the printed circuit board
(PCB) along one side of the switch box. Each number is assigned
to a DIP switch. These numbers combine to determine the
printer's address. Disregard any numbers on the switch box
itself.
The important numbers are "4 2 1" as printed on the
PCB.

The following table gives all possible DIP switch settings and the
addresses returned. Add together the assigned numbers of
switches in the OFF position for a given printer's address. The
controller's DIP switches are all factory set to the OFF position
(Unit 7).
