Drum Charger
To avoid confusion with the paper charger, the drum charger is
identified by a green dot. To clean the drum charger, follow these
steps:
1. Open the top cover without releasing the drum and hopper. The
drum charger is located in front of the ribbed well toward the
back of the printer.
2. Remove the drum charger. Slide the charger to the left using its
tab, and remove the charger from the printer.

3. Gently run the cotton swab you received with the toner kit afong
the drum charger 's wire. Be careful not to cut or break theJwire
during cleaning
.

4.
Replace
the
drum charger. Be sure that it slides securely in
place,
held snugly by
its
harness on the left side, and that the
green
dot
on the right side of the charger matches the green
dot on the
charger holder.
5.
Close the top cover.
