After you replace the drum, reset the drum page counter. To reset
the counter, pull the reset button forward a bit with one
finger,
and
then push the button down. Once you reset the drum page counter,
the yellow and red dots should return to
view.

Warning: The drum is photosensitive. While installing the new drum,
keep it away from direct sunlight or strong incandescent light.
1. Remove the bubble pack and the black plastic sheet from the
drum. Drape the sheet on top of the drum frame as you
work.
2. Open the printer's top cover so that the drum and hopper drop
down
.
3. Grasp the old drum by its handle; then remove the drum and the
hopper from the
printer.

Remove the toner hopper from the old drum. Be careful not to
upset the toner cartridge's top cover while separating the old
drum from the
hopper.
5.
Remove the black plastic sheet from the drum frame, and save
the sheet for future
use.
Attach the new drum to the hopper.
Holding it by its handle, place the new drum in the well toward
the back of the printer. Be sure that the drum axle fits in the
two slots on either side of the
printer.
