Service and Commissioning Support
Within the service menu, various functions support maintenance and commissioning of
the device.
8.3.1

General

Within the menu [Service / General], the user can initiate a reboot of the device.
The »Operational« ("System OK") LED is constantly green when – after the boot phase,

Forcing the Relay Output Contacts

contacts. The parameters, their defaults and setting ranges have to be taken from the
Reference Mnaual.
Principle – General Use
The user MUST ENSURE that the relay output contacts operate normally after
maintenance is completed. If the relay output contacts do not operate normally, the
protective device WILL NOT provide protection.
For commissioning purposes or for maintenance, relay output contacts can be set by
force.
Within this mode [Service / Test Mode (Prot inhibit) / WARNING! Cont? / Force RO], relay
output contacts can be set by force:
• Permanent; or
• Via timeout.
If they are set with a timeout, they will keep their "Force Position" only as long as this
timer runs. If the timer expires, the relay will operate normally. If they are set as
Permanent, they will keep the "Force Position" continuously.
There are two options available:
• Forcing a single relay »Force ROx«; and
• Forcing an entire group of relay output contacts »Force all Outs«.
