Disarming the Relay Output Contacts

See

contacts. The parameters, their defaults and setting ranges have to be taken from the
Reference Mnaual.
Principle – General Use
Within this mode [Service/Test Mode (Prot inhibit)/WARNING! Cont?/DISARMED], entire
groups of relay output contacts can be disabled. By means of this test mode, contact
outputs switching actions of the relay output contacts are prevented. If the relay output
contacts are disarmed, maintenance actions can be carried out without the risk of taking
entire processes off-line.
The User MUST ENSURE that the relay output contacts are ARMED AGAIN after
maintenance is complete. If they are not armed, the protective device WILL NOT provide
protection.
Within this mode [Service / Test Mode (Prot inhibit) / WARNING! Cont? / DISARMED] entire
groups of relay output contacts can be disarmed:
• Permanent; or
• Via timeout.
If they are set with a timeout, they will keep their "Disarm Position" only as long as this
timer runs. If the timer expires, the relay output contacts will operate normally. If they are
set Permanent, they will keep the "Disarm State" continuously.
A relay output contact WILL NOT be disarmed as long as:
• A relay output contact WILL NOT be disarmed if it is latched (and not yet reset).
• A relay output contact WILL NOT be disarmed as long as a running t-OFF-delay timer
is not yet expired (hold time of a relay output contact).
• If the Disarm Control is not set to active.
• If the Direct Command is not applied.
