Operating conditions: Installation
Mounting location
Correct measuring is possible only if the pipe is full. Avoid the following mounting locations:
• Highest point of a pipeline. Risk of air accumulating!
• Directly upstream from a free pipe outlet in a down pipe.
(Applies to all sensor versions)
Down pipes
Notwithstanding the above, the installation proposal below permits installation in an open down pipe. Pipe
constrictions or the use of an orifice plate with a smaller cross-section than the nominal diameter prevent the
pipe from running empty while measurement is in progress.
