Mounting location Correct flow measurement is possible only if the pipe is full. Entrained air or gas forming in the pipe can result in an increase in measuring errors.

With this orientation, entrained solids will sink and gases will rise away from the sensor when the fluid is stagnant. The piping can be completely drained and protected against solids buildup.
