CAUTION!
Drop antenna: Make sure that there are not more than 5 antenna extensions attached to a device

with a Drop antenna. If there are more than 5 antenna extensions, the device will not measure
correctly.
Make sure that you put an O-ring 4 into the groove at the top of each antenna extension.
Equipment needed (not supplied):
• 3 mm Allen wrench
• 36 mm open-end or box-end wrench

The lengths of the locking screws for the antenna extensions and the Drop antenna are different.
Make sure that you use the correct screw when you assemble the device. For more data, refer to
the list that follows.
Locking screw lengths
• Antenna extension: M6 × 10 (quantity: 1 per each segment of the antenna extension)
• DN80 (3¨) Drop antenna: M6 × 16 (quantity: 3)
• DN100 (4¨) Drop antenna: M6 × 20 (quantity: 3)
• DN150 (6¨) Drop antenna: M6 × 40 (quantity: 3)
Procedure 1: How to attach an antenna extension
1 Remove the O-rings from the plastic sachet supplied with the device. Put an O-ring 4 into the
groove at the top of each antenna extension.
2 Attach the antenna extensions 1 below the flange. Use a 36 mm open-end wrench to tighten
each antenna extension. Make sure that the antenna extensions 1 fully engaged.
3 Tighten the locking screw 3 on each antenna extension with a 3 mm Allen wrench.
4 Attach the antenna 2. Tighten the antenna.
5 Make sure the antenna extensions 1 and the antenna 2 are fully engaged.
6 Use a 3 mm Allen wrench to tighten the locking screws 3. NOTE: The antenna has 3 locking
screws.

If the antenna extension is supplied with the device, it is not necessary to change the device
settings. End of the procedure.
