Rear panel
1 REF WORD (reference word sync signal input)/
REF VIDEO (reference video signal) connectors
and VIDEO/WORD (input signal select) switch
VIDEO/WORD (input signal select) switch: Selects
which signal is to be input as word clock signal or
video signal. Select the same signal type as that of
the sync signal selected on the SYNC submenu of
the SETUP menu.
IN (input signal) connector (BNC type): Inputs the
word sync signal or video signal to synchronize
with an external device.
The signal to be input is switched using the
VIDEO/WORD switch. Usually, this connector is

terminated at 75 ohms. However, if the THRU
connector is connected, 75-ohm termination of this
connector is cancelled.
THRU (through) connector (BNC type): Loop-
through connector of the IN connector. When this
connector is connected, the 75-ohm termination of
the IN connector is cancelled.
2 REF WORD (reference word output) connector
(BNC type)
Outputs the word sync signal that is synchronized with
the sampling frequency at which the SIU-100/100T
operates.
