Setting SYNC
This SYNC submenu allows you to set the sync
reference signal and the sampling frequency for the
operations clock of the SIU-100/100T.
About the choices for the sync reference
signal
The following sync signals can be selected:
• INTERNAL
Uses the built-in word clock generator as the
reference signal.
• EXT-DI
Synchronizes using the digital signal input to the
board inserted in the slot. Selects which signal is used
as the reference signal.
• EXT-WORD
Synchronizes using a word clock signal connected to
the REF WORD/REF VIDEO connector on the rear
panel.
Note
When EXT-WORD is selected, be sure to set the
VIDEO/WORD switch on the rear panel to WORD.
• EXT-VID (EO)
Synchronizes using the video signal connected to the
REF WORD/REF VIDEO connector on the rear
panel.
Note
When EXT-VID is selected, be sure to set the
VIDEO/WORD switch on the rear panel to VIDEO.
Specify the vertical synchronous frequency of the
video signal input.
About the sampling frequency
Select the sampling frequency from among 44.1 kHz,
47.952 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz and 96 kHz.
About the sampling frequency AUTO mode
When EXT-WORD or EXT-DI is selected as the
synchronous reference signal, the sampling frequency
AUTO mode can be selected.
When AUTO mode is selected, the SIU-100/100T
automatically detects the sampling frequency of the
signal from external devices and synchronizes with
that signal, between 44.1 kHz and 96 kHz (including a
variable speed of ±12.5 %)
Note that the synchronization will be unlocked at one
point when the sampling frequency is changed from
44.1/48kHz to 88.2/96 kHz.
