I - REMOVAL PREPARATION OPERATION
a Position the vehicle on a two-post lift (see Vehicle:
Towing and lifting) (02A, Lifting equipment).
a Disconnect the battery (see Battery : Removal -
Refitting) (80A, Battery).
a Remove the complete front seat (see 75A, Front
seat frames and mechanisms, Complete front
seat: Removal - Refitting, page 75A-15) .
FRONT SEAT TYPE 01
a Remove:
- the front seatback angle control (see Front seat
backrest tilt control: Removal - Refitting) ,
- the front seat height adjuster control (see Front
seat height adjuster control: Removal - Refit-
ting) .
a Remove the front seat lower covers (see 77A, Front
seat trim, Front seat lower cover: Removal - Re-
fitting, page 77A-8) .
FRONT SEAT TYPE 02
a Remove the front seat belt buckle (see Front seat
belt buckle: Removal - Refitting) (88C, Airbags
and pretensioners).
FRONT SEAT TYPE 02 or FRONT SEAT TYPE 03

a Remove the front seat slide motor (see 75A, Front

a Remove:
40 N.m

- the front seat height adjuster rear motor (see Front

a Remove the front seat runners (see 75A, Front seat

a Remove the wiring (1) .
