Mounting the MCU-fixing Cage Nuts

About this task
After you have marked the location of these cage nuts on the front-facing posts, you can mount
them onto the square holes.
Procedure
1. Rotate the bottom cage nut so that its wings are on the top and bottom sides of the cage nut.
2. Compress the wings. From the back side of the post, insert first the wide wing, then the
narrow wing into the marked square hole. Release the wings after the nut is in position inside
the square hole.
3. Repeat Steps 1 to 3 for the top cage nut.
4. Repeat this procedure for the cage nuts of the other front post.

Mounting the Outer Rails on to the Rack

About this task
This procedure describes how to mount the outer rails on to the rack. The outer rails are used to
support the inner rails, which are attached to the device.
After fastening the outer rails to the rack itself, you attach the inner rails to the device. You can then
slide the inner rails along the outer rails to mount the device on to the rack.
Before you begin
• Make sure you have the correct type of rack and know where to mount the outer rails.
• Make sure you have the following items, which were shipped with the device and are used to
mount the outer rails to the rack
page 21):
- Two long outer rails
- Two short outer rails
- Two flat-head long screws (Phillips cross recessed flat-head machine screws M5x12mm)
- Two brackets (finishing washers M5)
