Setting up the Device
• Make sure you have the following items, which were shipped with the device and are used to
mount the rails to the rack:
- Two long outer rails
- Two short outer rails
- Two flat-head long screws (Phillips cross recessed flat-head machine screws M5x12mm
90°)
- Two brackets (finishing washers M5)
• Use the guidelines listed below to decide where on the rack to mount the device. Proper
placement prevents the device from overheating and ensures that the rack is stable.
- Do not place the device in an overly congested rack or directly adjacent to another
equipment rack.
- Find a space on the rack which is 3 empty square holes in height (1U) on the rack posts.
- If there are few devices mounted in the rack, find the lowest possible location to mount the
device, to ensure the rack remains stable.
