9 Instructions for use

The brace must be used in strict conformity with the indication. The patient's acceptance and co-
operation play an important part. It is essential to instruct the patient in the proper use of the brace!
The physician's instructions must be strictly observed.
The product should not come into contact with fatty or acidic agents, ointments, and lotions.
Improper changes to the brace are not permitted.
It is recommended that you always wear a T-shirt or undershirt under the brace.
The daily duration of use and total period of application must be determined by the attending
physician.
Patients should be instructed to consult a physician immediately if they experience unusual changes.
10 Care instructions
Upon delivery of the product, the patient must be informed that only the textile part of the brace
can be washed (after removal of the support element (4) and the bridging element (5), if atta-
ched). The support element (4) and the bridging element (5) are not washable.
The textile part of the brace can be washed at 30 °C (86 °F) using a standard mild detergent. Prior
to washing, undo the clip rivets (8) of the strap holders (7) and remove the entire support element
(4) attached by hook and loop connection, as well as the bridging element (5), if attached, from
the brace. Close the abdominal closure (3). We recommend using a washing bag for washing
the brace. Do not expose it to the sun. Do not use an oven or radiator to dry the brace. Allow the
brace to air dry. The support element (4) and bridging element (5) can be cleaned with a damp
cloth and neutral soap.
After drying, re-establish the hook and loop connection of the support element (4) and, if neces-
sary, the bridging element (5) on the brace, and attach the strap holders (7) to the abdominal
closure parts (3) with the clip rivets (8).

11 Restriction for use
The 50R30 Lumbo TriStep is designed for use on one patient. This brace is only suitable for
contact with healthy skin.
Attention!
Parts to be fitted and those parts that come directly into contact with the skin can
cause functional and hygienic risks if the brace is used by another person. Functional
risks are for example:
• Formation of cracks in the material
• Material fatigue due to alternating stress
The medical indication determines the period of application and the duration of use.
Attention!
The 50R30 Lumbo TriStep contains metal components and must be removed when the
patient is examined in an MRI scanner.
