Soft starter fault and alarm indications

When the soft starter detects a fault, the operation panel displays a fault message, or a protective function activates to trip the
soft starter - depending on the nature of the fault.

How to reset the soft starter after a fault has occurred

Always investigate to find the cause of the problem when a fault was detected by the soft starter. Do not just reset the
system without understanding and fixing the cause of the reset.
If the soft starter is not under external control of the Modbus controller or PC application:
On the Fault screen, press the RESET button to reset the fault on the soft starter or,
If the soft starter is under external control of the Modbus controller or the PC application (refer Figure 60):
Use the button on the PC application (or the Modbus command) to reset the soft starter.
If the soft starter is configured for Remote operation, the remote reset may be used to reset the soft starter:
Activate the remote reset signal the external RESET button.
Figure 61 shows an example of a fault screen with RESET button. The fault message and the parameters that are displayed may
be used to understand the reason for the fault. Note that the fault screen in Figure 61 has a fault message that indicates that
there is a Phase Rotation Error.
