Indicators
• CPU ON: The microcontroller is executing its program.
• IO1 - IO16: Indicate the state of the input or output, active or inactive.
Terminals
• J1: Used to program the microcontroller (IDC connector).
• J2: Internal CAN signal and power (RJ12 connector).
• J3: IO1 - IO16. 24v to 120v AC or DC inputs or outputs.
• J4: 1 bus and 2 bus. Weidmuller connector.
• J7: External CAN Network (Weidmuller connector).

HC-UIO boards numbered 00 through 31 are used for call related IO.
The associated SW1 switch setting is shown to the left. Terminal assign-
ments, beginning with terminal IO 1 through IO 16 on board 00, fol-
lowed by terminal IO 1 through IO 16 on board 01, etc., are made in
the following order:
nn = TOP LANDING SERVED
• PIs
• Front car calls
• Rear car calls
• Front down hall calls
• Front up hall calls
• Rear down hall calls
• Rear up hall calls
HC-UIO board terminal assignments are determined by the settings of
the following BASIC FEATURE MENU
• TOP LANDING SERVED?
• HC-RDR BOARD ON THIS CAR?
• CAR SERVES FRNT/FLR 1 (- 32)?
• CAR SERVES REAR/FLR 1 (- 32)?
And also
• DISCRETE PI'S ON UIO?
• DEDICATED PI BOARD? (allows first one or two UIO boards to be
dedicated to PI's alone)
• SERIAL COP BOARD HC-CPI?
The status of these terminals (On or Off) can be determined by observ-
ing the indicators on the HC-UIO boards. The status of the signals in
the HC-MPU Main Processor memory can be observed as described in
Troubleshooting Using External Memory Mode (4-8).
