On the High Speed CPU cards , channels x:10 through x:99 are used to represent IP
tributaries. On standard CPU cards, channels x:10 through x:31 are used to represent IP
tributaries. Again for V200 systems, the integrated router may be in the system multiple
times — one for each CPU card (standard or high speed) installed. If IP is configured on
a high speed CPU card in slot 3, the tributaries available are 3:10-3:99. If IP is configured
on a standard CPU card in Slot 0, the tributaries are 0:10-0:31.

Overview: Aggregates and Tributaries
A multiplexer is a device allowing one or more, analogue or digital, signals (Tributaries)
to be combined and transmitted over a single higher speed channel (Aggregate).
Tributaries are packaged together, multiplexed or aggregated, and passed to their
destinations over Aggregate links. An IP aggregate can carry any payload or tributary
but will transmit over IP signalling. Likewise a serial aggregate can carry any payload or
tributary but will transmit over serial signalling.
Switched aggregates are aggregates that will be switched on and off according to
demand, rather than being permanently in place. These are likely to be used when ISDN
is chosen as the transmission medium, or if you are traversing network where per-byte
charges may apply, such as Inmarsat-BGAN.
