Model C835 & C845 Gas Connections
To ensure proper operation, the Model C835 and
C845 gas grills require a minimum pipe size of 1
inch (25 mm). For propane gas, the next lower size
can be used. If in doubt, contact the local gas
company.
The grill must be connected to the existing gas
supply lines with the hose assembly included in the
accessory package.
All gas line connections and plumbing
must be inspected for leaks by using an electric
leak detector or a soap solution.
Gas Regulator Inspection
Step 1
Disconnect all power to the grill. Failure
to follow this instruction may result in electrical
shock.
Step 2
Turn off all gas supply. Failure to comply
can result in a fire hazard.
Step 3
Remove the MPT plug from the gas manifold.
Step 4
Install a barbed fitting.
Step 5
Connect a water column pressure gauge to the gas
manifold.
Step 6
Connect the power and gas supply.
Step 7
Turn on the grill.
Step 8
Turn on each heating zone, one at a time.
Controls and Systems
Step 9
After all heat zones are turned on, verify the gas
regulator settings:
Domestic:
Regulator Setting
Natural Gas ‐ 3.5" w.c.
Propane Gas ‐ 10.5" w.c.
Note: Domestic gas regulators must NOT be
adjusted. If the pressure adjustment deviates from
the tolerance range, the valve must be replaced.
International:
See Figure 44 on page 61.
IMPORTANT: Regulators should be inspected
separately.
Step 10
Remove all power, turn off the gas supply, and
re‐install the MPT plug, using an approved sealant.
