■Status 1 and status 2 information
The status 1 and status 2 information is stored diagnostic information generated in a DP-Slave and relevant bits turned on.
The following table shows the description of each bit, actions to take, and stations to detect diagnostic information.
Item
Bit
Description
Status 1
b8
Data exchange with a DP-Slave failed.
b9
A DP-Slave is not ready for data
exchange.
b10
The I/O bytes parameter received from the
DP-Master does not match that of a DP-
Slave.
b11
Extended diagnostic information exists.
b12
The function requested by the DP-Master
is not supported.
b13
An invalid response from a DP-Slave.
b14
An invalid parameter from the DP-Master.
b15
The station is controlled by another DP-
Master.
Status 2
b0
Parameter send request from DP-Slaves
b1
A malfunction occurred in the DP-Slave.
b2
Not used
b3
A DP-Slave is monitoring their watchdog
timer.
b4
Not used
b5

b6

b7
A parameter setting excluded the station
from data exchange.
Action
Check the status of the DP-Slave and PROFIBUS line.
Check the relevant parameters.
■When data exchange starts
The station is in normal operation. (This bit turns on every time
when data exchange starts.)
■When data are being exchanged.
Check the status of the DP-Slave and PROFIBUS line.
Check the relevant parameters of the DP-Slave.
Check the status of the DP-Slave.
Check that the DP-Slave supports the global control function.
Check the specifications of the DP-Slave.
Check the status of the DP-Slave or that of the network.
Check the relevant parameters.
Check that multiple DP-Masters are communicating with the same
DP-Slave.
Check the relevant parameters.
■When data exchange starts
The station is in normal operation. (This bit turns on every time
when data exchange starts.)
■When data are being exchanged.
Check the status of the DP-Slave and PROFIBUS line.
Check the status of the DP-Slave.
The station is in normal operation.
■When data exchange stops
The station is in normal operation. (This bit turns on every time
when data exchange stops.)
■When data are being exchanged
Check that a Class 2 DP-Master on the network has not changed
any relevant parameter.
