C Fault When Accessing the Link Card Installed in the Host
The host manages the External I/O Expansion Unit through I
the link card installed in a host PCI Express add-in card slot. If the fault list includes
the i2c_main bus for the link card installed in a host add-in slot hc:///chassis=
0/iou=x/pcislot=y/link=0/i2c_main=0, a problem exists between the External
I/O Expansion Unit and the link card.
Possible Causes
The host link card is not fully seated.
The host PCI Express slot is faulty.
The host link card is faulty.

Test the FRUs listed above before suspecting the following:

If the problem has been corrected, the fault messages will not appear.

C problems are resolved by the removal of a PSU, assume the PSU is
faulty.
If the problems are resolved by removing an I/O boat, determine whether
the problem is with the I/O boat itself or the link card in the I/O boat. Swap
the link card from the failed I/O boat to a known good I/O boat to
determine if the problem follows the link card.
