Average Noise Level Indicator

An additional indicator of wireless imaging quality, called the Average Noise Level (ANL)
has been calculated for various conditions. ANL is another tool to guide wireless scanning. It
provides a measure of the potential for a compromised wireless link to introduce noise artifact
into the image. ANL is displayed in real-time above the wireless signal quality meter.
ANL is displayed in dB. An ANL value of 0.0 represents the optimal setting and indicates that
the signal quality is very good and free of errors that might introduce noise into the image.
Be alert to the ANL level, in accordance with the guidance below. To insure optimal wireless
imaging, use the information from both the wireless signal quality meter and the ANL.
