Wireless Probes

Using Multiple Probes

Multiple probes can be used with the system, but only one probe can be activated at a time.

More than One Wireless Probe

To use more than one probe in wireless mode during an exam:
1.
Turn the currently-connected probe off, thereby disconnecting it from the console.
2.
Position the second probe and turn it on.

A Probe Connected via Adapter Cable

If a Probe is connected to the console with the probe Adapter Cable, you will need to
disconnect it to make a wireless connection to another probe. Disconnect it at either the probe
or the console end.

Powering Down the Probe

When you have finished scanning with the connected probe and are ready to either clean it
or store it, power it down by continuously pressing both circular buttons on the probe until it
beeps.
When the probe is turned off, the battery symbol will disappear from the display. Removing the
battery also powers the probe down.
Before trying to scan with a new probe, be sure to power the active probe off.
NOTE: During the course of a procedure, it is recommended that you leave the
probe powered on so that the probe localization feature may function. See "Finding/
Locating Wireless Probes" on page 6-11 for more information.
NOTE: For important information about the
specifications, electromagnetic compatibility considerations, and security features,
see the Safety and Warnings chapter.
