Fan 1 is absent.
This indicates that the fan tray is not in position.
Solution
Check that:
The fan tray is in position.
The fan tray is properly connected with the backplane.
If the cause cannot be located in the steps above and the problem persists, contact your local
sales agent.

Symptom
When the router is running, the ALM LED turns red and the following information appears:

This indicates that Fan 1 is faulty.
Solution
Check whether any foreign object has entered the fan tray.

Troubleshooting HIM/MIM Installation

Symptom
When a HIM/MIM is inserted while the router is running, the following information appears on
the screen:
%Apr 26 15:36:09:404 2000 HP DRVICOUT/1/DrvIcOutStr:Slot=5;(Src Slot[5])
Slot 5/2 Plug In Failed!
This indicates that the HIM/MIM is faulty or the router does not recognize the HIM/MIM.
Solution
Check that:
The HIM/MIM is properly and firmly in place.
In the case of a HIM, the HIM is properly inserted into a FIP-200/FIP-210. Note that
the FIP-100/FIP-110 does not support a HIM.
The interface module connector on the FIP has no tilt pins.
If the cause cannot be located in the steps above and the problem persists, contact your local
