exist, will you recover it? [Y/N]". If you enter Y, the input application file will overwrite the one on
the CF card. The updated application file will directly replace the existing one of this type and
become the only application file.
Make sure the available space on the CF card is sufficient. Or, the system prompts "The free
space isn't enough!"
Refer to "Files" on page 6-1 for detailed descriptions on file types.
Updating and Backing Up an Application Using TFTP at the CLI
Step1
Set up a TFTP updating environment.
Router serves as the TFTP client, and PC serves as the TFTP server.
For the procedure of setting up updating environment, refer to
TFTP on the BootWare
Run the terminal emulation program on the PC, and then configure the IP addresses of the
client and sever to be on the same network segment. Ensure the connectivity between the
router and the PC. In this example, the IP address of the management Ethernet interface is
192.168.80.10, and that of the PC is 192.168.80.200.
You can use the ping command to check whether the connection is successful.
You can update the applications of the router through the console port or the management
Ethernet interface.
Step2
View the files saved on the storage medium and its available space.
Use the dir command on the console terminal to view the files contained in the current file
system, and the available space of the storage device.
