Chassis SC946L JBOD User's Manual
Maintenance and Component Installation
This chapter provides instructions on installing and replacing main system components. To
assure compatibility, only use components that match the specifications or part numbers given.
Installation or replacement of most components require that power first be removed from the
system.
3.1 Power Up/Power Down Sequences
There are several procedures to turn on or off the system with the CB3 JBOD control board.
Power Up
First Use or Power Cord Plug-In
1. Plug the power cords into the rear of the power supplies.
2. Wait until blue Information LED starts to blink.
3. Press the power button once. The JBOD control board initiates the power up sequence
in three seconds.
After Normal Shutdown by IPMI or Power Button
Press the power button once. The JBOD control board will initiate the power up sequence
in three seconds.
After a Power Loss
The system will power up automatically approximately fifteen seconds after the power returns.
Power Down
1. Hold down the power button. The blue Information LED will begin blinking. Continue to
hold the power button.
2. Release power button after blue LED stops blinking and goes dark.
3. The shutdown sequence will begin and shut down the system within ten seconds
