37.5 PoolManager installation
®
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Ensure that connections are sealed tightly for all hose
and assembly connections.
No liability for any leakage!
37.5.1

Connection with the circulation system


Install the tapping saddles for measuring water extraction and
return and injection valves as shown in the diagrams.

Use the Teflon tape provided to install measuring water extraction
and return, as well as injection valves.
PoolManager Bromine only
®

Install the tapping saddles for water extraction
and return for the Brominator according to the
diagram

Connect the Brominator with the solenoid valve
and circulation system as shown in the diagram.

Connect the measuring water extraction with PoolManager
filter using a piece of measuring water hose that is sufficiently
long.

Connect the measuring cell's outlet with measuring water return
using a piece of measuring water hose that is sufficiently long.
Measuring water can also be fed back to the surge water
container, if present.

Connect the pressure line (hose) provided for pH with the
pressure side (right connection) of the right hose pump. Connect
the other end with the injector on the circulation line.
PoolManager Chlorine and Oxygen only
®
Connect the pressure line provided for sodium
hypochlorite or Bayrosoft
connection) of the hose pump for disinfection. Connect
the other end with the injector on the circulation line.

Connect the suction lance's hose for pH with the suction side (left
connection) of the dosing pump for pH.

Plug the suction lance's plug into the respective socket on the unit
(see imprint on the unit).


Connect the suction lance's hose for sodium
hypochlorite or Bayrosoft
(left connection) of the dosing pump for
disinfection.

Plug the suction lance's plug into the respective
socket on the unit (see imprint on the unit).

Open the package with the liquid water maintenance products and
insert the suction lances vertically down to the floor.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
Place the packaging for liquid water maintenance
products (pH-/pH+, sodium hypochlorite, Bayrosoft
into appropriate containers.

37.5.2

Measurement system

37.5.2.1 Chlorine measurement cell (PoolManager PRO only)
The content of chlorine in the swimming pool water is measured by a
potentiostatic chlorine cell (2). This is a 3-electrode system using a
standard redox electrode (1) (includes 2 electrodes) and a gold
electrode (3) as the third electrode.
The gold plate in the chlorine cell must be covered with blue glass
pearls for continuous cleaning.
Make sure that gold electrode covered with the correct amount of blue
glass pearls (1 layer of pearls covering the electrode).
37.5.2.2 Measuring water adjustment
Use the black adjustment screw to the left of the measuring cell only
for making fine adjustments to flow rate. Larger changes can be made
using the tap on the measuring water extraction.
PoolManager ® Chlorine, Bromine, and Oxygen only
Configure water flow through the cell such that there is
ca. 1-2 mm of clearance between the float and the top
edge of the proximity switch.
PoolManager ® PRO only
Configure water flow through the measuring cell such
that the cleaning balls sufficiently and evenly rotate on
the gold plate. Avoid too much flow, which can be
recognised when the cleaning balls jump.
Bubble formation in the measuring cell:
Should you find bubbles are forming in the measuring cell, then
inspect the measuring water circuit for leakage.
If the measuring water circuit is sealed tightly yet there are still bubbles
forming, then please open up the black adjustment screw on the left
side of the measuring cell further and restrict measuring water using
the tap on the measuring water extraction. Small adjustments are
made using the black adjustment screw.
