Troubleshooting the Test Kit Manufacturers TestKitSuite.xml File
Probable cause
The TestKitSuite.xml file, provided by the PCR Test
Kit Manufacturer, has the ability to flag certain
fragments as important. This then ensures that a
warning sign is presented when that fragment is
not detected.
In this instance, the internal control has not been
detected.
TestKitSuite.xml
The
Test Kit Manufacturer, is only looking for specific
fragments (usually pathogens) within the sample.
Known fragment sizes are used to set diagnostic
windows with a minimum and maximum
allowable size range within the gel. Fragments
appearing within these predetermined windows
generate a positive result. The detection of any
unexpected fragments that are sized out with
these predetermined windows are marked as
unidentified and presented with a warning sign in
the gel and result table.
