5) Attach the drive wheel (see Seite 27).
6) Adjust the drive wheel suspension equally on both sides (see Seite 42).

Replacing the drive motors

INFORMATION
Always replace drive motors in pairs.
INFORMATION
If you change the type of drive motors, check the installed position of the spacers on the drive wheel swing arm and
suspension and replace if necessary (see Seite 31).
When changing the type of drive motors, a new set of parameters must be input in the control unit. In this case,
reprogram the control unit after replacing the motors (see Seite 77/Seite 84 ff.).
f Prerequisites:
Optional: Move the seat to the lowest seat height (see Seite 12).
Switch off the control unit and deactivate the main fuse (see Seite 12).
If necessary: Remove the legrests.
Jack up the wheelchair (see Seite 11).
f Tools: Allen wrench size 6; torque wrench with Allen insert size 6
Removing the drive motor
1) Remove the drive wheel (see Seite 27).
2) Remove the rear cover (see Seite 15).
3) If necessary: Remove the controller (see Seite 21).
4) Disconnect the motor cable from the controller (see Fig. 44, item 1: right motor, item 2: left motor).
5) Loosen and remove the 2 upper screws between the drive motor and drive wheel swing arm with 1 washer (op-
tional) each (see Fig. 45, item 1).
INFORMATION: If a splash guard is installed, there are no washers under the screws. In this case, re-
move the splash guard after loosening the screws (see Seite 27).
6) Loosen the cable attachment on the motor cable (see Fig. 46).
7) Loosen and remove the 2 lower screws between the drive motor and drive wheel swing arm (see Fig. 47, item 1).
8) INFORMATION: Note the installed position of the motor cable.
Remove the drive motor with the motor cable. Remove additional cable attachments if necessary.
Installing the drive motor
1) Insert the drive motor and position the motor cable according to the original installed position. To do so, reattach
the loosened cable attachments (see Fig. 46).
2) Insert the 2 lower screws between the drive motor and drive wheel swing arm and firmly tighten them to 25 Nm
(see Fig. 47, item 1).
3) Insert the 2 upper screws between the drive motor and drive wheel swing arm with 1 washer (optional) each and
firmly tighten them to 25 Nm (see Fig. 45, item 1).
INFORMATION: If a splash guard is installed, the washers are omitted and replaced by the splash guard.
