NOTICE
Incorrect cable routing
Damage to cables due to pulling or pinching
f When positioning the cables make sure that they cannot be pinched.
f When performing any adjustment and installation work near installed cables, ensure that the cables are suf-
ficiently long for all adjustment possibilities and cannot become pinched. Use cable extensions and additional
cable attachments if necessary.
4.15.1

Replacing the bearing plates (standard seat)

f Prerequisites:
Switch off the control unit and deactivate the main fuse (see Seite 12).
Remove the seat cushion and back padding.
f Tools: Allen wrench size 5; open-ended or ring wrench size 13; torque wrench with Allen insert size 5
Removing the bearing plate (standard seat)
1) Optional: Remove the actuator for the power back angle adjustment (see Seite 59).
2) Fold the back forwards onto the seat.
3) Loosen and remove the bearing screw (see Fig. 108/109, item 1).
4) Loosen and remove the screws and nuts between the bearing plate and seat bar (see Fig. 108/109, item 2).
5) Remove the bearing plate.
INFORMATION: If a power back angle adjustment is installed, both bearing plates are firmly attached to
a connecting tube (see Fig 109, item 3). Remove and replace both bearing plates together in this case.
Installing the bearing plate (standard seat)
1) Position the bearing plate on the seat bar.
INFORMATION: If a power back angle adjustment is installed, both bearing plates are firmly attached to
a connecting tube (see Fig 109, item 3). Install both bearing plates together in this case.
2) Insert the screws and nuts between the bearing plate and seat bar and firmly tighten them (see Fig. 108/109,
item 2).
3) Insert the bearing screw into the bearing plate and the back and firmly tighten it (see Fig. 108/109, item 1).
4) Fold the back to the rear.
5) Optional: Install the actuator for the power back angle adjustment (see Seite 59).
