Turn Instrument On: Warm-up
To turn on power to the Series 4400 instrument, set the
main power switch on the load frame to ON. The com-
plete testing system receives power, but any external ac-
cessories, such as a recorder or a printer, must be turned
on separately.
When power is applied to the system, an automatic Self
Test Routine runs as described on page 4-23.
You must allow a warm-up period of at least 15 minutes
to assure load cell stability. This warm-up period is also
necessary whenever you change a load cell.

In some cases, grips and fixtures may have to be
installed on the load frame after calibration, de-
pending upon the procedure used and the type
of load cell installed.
